Thank you for looking at our Farm Cottage (also known as Garden Cottage)

The cottage is situated in at the end of a private road which passes through the pastures of the farm and under a canopy of beautiful trees as can be seen on our (very amateur video) link below.  Visitors describe as an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of some holiday cottage locations. However, the cottage not isolated. It is near the top of a hill surrounded by beautiful landscape with Lock Ken in the distance. It is a great place from which to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the Galloway Hills.    Kirkcudbright and the Solway coast are just a short drive away.  See some visitor descriptions below.

The cottage has two double bedrooms though they are not big,  visitors repeatedly descibe them as comfortable especially beds.  The cottage is generally furnished with good quality comfortable furniture not usually found in holiday cottages.  It has been awarded 3 Stars by the Scottish Tourist board .   Although in the heart of farm land it is less than 1.5 miles to Castle Douglas, a designated Food Town with many restrauants in and around.
